Fly into KBTV Airport

The Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (KBTV) is less than a 5-minute walk from our North Hangar R&D facility’s front door. We ask that candidates book their own flights and submit receipts for reimbursement. You will receive a candidate expense reimbursement form via email, with detailed instructions. Beta covers economy airfare, any upgrades or add-ons will not be covered.

Renting A Car

We recommend renting a car if you are coming for more than 1 day and have time to explore the area, as Burlington is not the most walkable area. Downtown Burlington and the waterfront are a 10 minute drive away, and access to outdoor activities like skiing in Winter or hiking & swimming in the Summer can be found within a 45-minute driving radius as well. If you are only here for 24 hours, hotel shuttles and Uber/ Lyft are a good option! We ask that candidates book their own rental cars and go through the expense reimbursement process. Similar to flights, Beta will cover rental car fees for a reasonably priced option and ask that candidates cover the cost of any upgrades directly.

Explore Vermont

Our Favorite Hike Only 30 minutes from Beta Technologies, the Mount Philo hike is a 2.2-mile loop. The 237-acre park protects the area around Mount Philo and provides views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains to the west.
Our Favorite Restaurant We asked our chef, Tim Peters, to help us narrow down our list. “I’ll give a couple. Hen of the Wood if someone else is paying. Bistro Margot if I’m paying. Taco Gordo for low key. Pro Pig for in the middle. Grey Jay for lunch.” Thanks, Tim.
Our Favorite Activity Park along the Burlington Waterfront to explore any number of beaches and parks. A bike path runs north to south, following the shore with access to restaurants and bars. Rent a bike, grab a snack, and wait for the sunset.
Our Favorite Ski Area Bolton Valley Resort sits high in the Green Mountains with the highest ski area base elevation in Vermont! It has 71 trails to explore during the day, and 10 lit trails for night skiing! A perfect way to spend an evening after work. Other close Ski Areas include: Cochran’s, Stowe, Smuggler’s Notch, & Sugarbush.
Our Favorite Creemee Vermont’s take on soft-serve ice cream, a maple creemee is a must have on your visit. Vermont makes their soft-serve with a much higher butterfat content. For a creemee close to the waterfront check out Burlington Bay. If you want the best maple creemee, head to Palmer Lane Maple. The drive is worth it!
Favorite Shopping Shop local, dine, & browse at our beautiful pedestrian mall, Church St. Located in the heart of Burlington, there’s 60+ local retailers & 30+ restaurants to explore. Easy parking at the Market Place Garage. Make sure to explore some of the fun art galleries too!

See you soon!
