Regardless of the position one holds, each team member brings their talent and desire to positively impact the environment and lives of others in a refreshing, vibrant, and inclusive culture.

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and deploy resilient, secure network solutions for our products. This individual will support various product teams such as Flight Test and Charge. The ideal candidate can architect and maintain flexible network topologies that meet the demanding requirements of aviation, ensuring efficient, secure data transmission to both on-premise and cloud environments.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless data transfer between all platforms.
  • Design and deploy network architectures supporting data offload and live telemetry from airborne products to on-prem and cloud (AWS) endpoints.
  • Configure and maintain links over VPNs (e.g., IPsec, Tailscale), satellite (e.g., Starlink), cellular, radio (VHF, UHF), and fiber/copper.
  • Design, implement, and configure mesh networks to support redundant communication paths between aircraft and ground stations.
  • Configure firewalls and routers to use VLANs and tunnels ensuring proper traffic segmentation and routing.
  • Monitor network performance, conduct proactive maintenance, and respond to incidents to assure service reliability.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of network topology, configurations, and security controls.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and planned maintenance windows.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional network engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in VPN configuration and management
  • Experience with corporate network topologies including firewalls, switches, and access points.
  • Expert-level knowledge of LAN and WAN-based technologies and protocols, including BGP, SD-WAN, OSPF, Layer 2/3 Switching & Routing.
  • Proficiency in VLAN configuration, management, and troubleshooting in complex network environments.
  • Proficiency with Linux network configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., iptables, routing, interface management, performance tuning).
  • Working knowledge of cloud networking (AWS VPC, Direct Connect, site-to-site VPN, Azure VNet, etc.).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Build and support great teams; foster teamwork, collaboration, and transparency.
Above and Beyond Qualifications:
  • Prior hands-on experience with airborne or vehicular telemetry/data offload networks.
  • Familiarity with Starlink or similar satellite communications systems.
  • Deep understanding of network security best practices, including traffic segmentation and zero-trust architectures.
  • Experience implementing UDP multicast for live streaming, especially in challenging network conditions.
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Networking Specialty) or equivalent.
  • Experience in fast-paced, regulated environments such as aviation, defense, or transportation.
  • Familiarity with network automation (e.g., Ansible, Python scripting for networking tasks).
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • While the role does not typically involve strenuous physical labor, candidates should be comfortable maneuvering within aircraft environments. Additionally, occasional travel may be necessary to provide on-site support at various locations.

Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
