Description

At BETA Technologies, we apply our intellectual curiosity, passion for aviation, and commitment to sustainability toward a shared mission of revolutionizing electric aviation. Regardless of the position one holds, each team member brings their talent and desire to positively impact the environment and lives of others in a refreshing, vibrant, and inclusive culture.

Join BETA's Business Processes team as a Business Process Engineer where you'll optimize the processes and systems that make manufacturing possible. You'll improve how we plan, coordinate, and execute operations—building the infrastructure and workflows that enable us to scale efficiently. This role is about designing better systems, streamlining cross-functional processes, and ensuring our operations run smoothly as we grow from startup to full-rate production.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

  • Analyze and optimize business processes across operations, supply chain, production planning, and quality systems to eliminate inefficiencies and bottlenecks
  • Design and implement workflow improvements, standard operating procedures, and cross-functional coordination processes that enable smoother operations
  • Build data systems, reporting dashboards, and KPI frameworks that give visibility into operational performance and drive better decision-making
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that standardize and scale our operational infrastructure as the company grows
  • Develop production planning systems, scheduling methodologies, and resource allocation frameworks that balance capacity with demand
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and finance teams to optimize end-to-end business processes from procurement to delivery
  • Create documentation, process maps, and training materials that establish operational best practices and institutional knowledge
  • Identify gaps in current systems and processes, then design and implement solutions that prepare us for scaled manufacturing
  • Support continuous improvement culture by facilitating problem-solving sessions and driving systematic process enhancements
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field
  • 2-5 years of experience in process improvement, operations, or business systems roles, preferably in manufacturing environments
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking skills with ability to see how processes connect across functions
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
  • Experience designing and documenting business processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations concepts like production planning, inventory management, and supply chain coordination
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
  • Self-starter who can identify problems, develop solutions, and drive implementation with minimal supervision
  • Above and Beyond Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing or optimizing ERP, MES, PLM, or other manufacturing systems
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, or other regulated manufacturing industries familiar with quality management systems
  • Experience with process mapping and workflow design tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or similar)
  • Knowledge of lean principles and experience applying them to business processes, not just manufacturing floor activities
  • Familiarity with production planning concepts like MRP, capacity planning, and demand forecasting
  • Experience in high-growth or startup environments where you've helped build scalable operational processes from scratch
  • Technical skills in Python, R, or similar tools for process automation and advanced analytics
  • Understanding of aerospace supply chain complexity and manufacturing readiness requirements
  • Compensation:

    $ 80,000 - $ 110,000 / year

We pay competitively and base compensation on a variety of factors including skills, experience, industry background, and the evolving needs of the role.
